Our bodies don’t naturally produce these fatty acids, which is why we need to find them in the foods we eat or the supplements we take. Without the proper amount of fatty acids, we can develop a deficiency. Keep in mind, though, that these nutrients don’t have the same reaction in our bodies. Omega-6 fatty acids can cause inflammation and omega-3s have anti-inflammation effects.
